Holly's been showing us pics of her garden, including her apple blossom so i thought I'd remind you what that blossom turns into! My neighbour invited me round for dinner and cooked an apple pie - as you can see she embellished it. It gave me such a laugh I got her to take a picture of it!

..and, mmmmmmmmm, it tasted GOOD!

Oh wow! I love it! This is priceless! That's some special neighbor ya got there. You must have got such a kick out of it. You are a unique lady, think about it, how many folks have ever had their name on a pie? a cake sure, but a pie... I love this! I'm pea green with envy.

I know you need to get out as much as you can, my friend; I can't imagine living in the dark all the time - I would surely go insane - and the fact that you have managed to do it without losing your sanity or your amazing sense of humor just blows me away. I'm glad you're out enjoying the weather while it's nice enough for you to do so; it seems the summers get shorter every year; you just start to enjoy them, and suddenly, they're over. It sucks. It really sucks.

I hope to see you sharing some pictures, some day, of your outdoor adventures. I would LOVE to see your corner of the world! Being a Celt by blood, I'm naturally drawn to places like Ireland and Scotland, and I would dearly love to see personal perspectives of those places.

Hello, my friend! Thank you for visiting and offering reassurance. I did hear back from my sister earlier today, and she told me all is fine and good; she said she explained to my niece that we were going to be out of town, in the mountains, and we probably wouldn't be able to call her. So, Tasha wasn't expecting us to call. Still, though, we WERE near a phone - and even if we hadn't been, I'd have driven until I found one - and I guess that's what makes it so hard for me to deal with. But at least my sister is talking to me, and at least I know, now, that things are okay.
